The Model 709 is an extremely rugged floor scale, designed for accuracy and maximum durability, even in the harshest environments. A special version of this scale permanently submerged in salt water weighs killer whales at Sea World. To accomplish this, Emery Winslow used non-electronic load cells, which carry the most extensive coverage in the industry: A Lifetime Warranty against water and electrical damage! Standard construction is Grade 304 stainless steel. The 709 is also designed with USDA and HACCP in mind. The deck plates slide off for total cleaning access to the pit, or can be raised automatically with a pneumatic option. The scale never needs to be removed from the pit.
