Outputs and Controls

  • This scale is certified as an NTEP class IIII weighing device.
  • Data Interface: 20mA current loop.
  • Batteries: Operates on 6 ™ 1.2 volt ni-cads (standard), or alkalines.
  • Battery Life: Approximately 5 years.
    (1500 charge/discharge cycles)
  • Battery duration between charges: Approximately 8 hours of continuous use before the scale shuts itself off. (These numbers are lowered by the use of the lamps or active current loop transmission.)
  • Charging Voltage: 11.5 volts-14.5 volts DC. Protection is provided for accidental reversal of the charging connections.
  • Charging Current: Starts at 300mA and drops down to 50mA after 8 hours.
  • Charging Time: 8 hours if the batteries are discharged to the point of turning off the scale.

  • All metal case provides EMI/RFI immunity.

  • Lamp: Momentary action to activate high efficiency light emitting diodes for night usage.
  • Axle Totalizing: Transmits weight to another scale for totalizing individual axles. Will totalize axles, tandem axles or wheel group.
  • Printers: 20mA current loop to interface with a remote printer or remote display.
  • General: All controls are located on a waterproof membrane keypad with large contact surfaces.
  • Print: When activated, outputs weight local.
  • On/Off: Two separate switches for unambiguous operation.
  • Hold/Release: Hold places scale in automatic capture mode for in-motion weighing. Release places scale in "normal" static weighing mode.

  • Local/Total: Local is the standard mode for weighing. Total mode enables the scales to accumulate weights.

The PT300™ scale is designed to maximize legal payloads with concern for violations and reduction of maintenance due to overload stress on equipment.

Weighing a mere 37 lb, this sturdy, all aluminum, fully electronic, self-contained wheel load scale is capable of weighing loads up to 20,000 lb and more, with an accuracy of ±1%.

Incredibly, the PT300™ scale will accurately weigh to ±2% as a wheel rolls over the scale by simply activating the "HOLD" switch.

The scale is fully battery operated and only requires infrequent recharging, which can be accomplished by any 12, 110 or 220 volt power source. A charger adaptor is provided.

The display area can be lighted for night use by merely touching the "LAMP" switch.

It is possible to sequentially couple any number of PT300™ scales in series, for the purpose of obtaining the total weight of all the preceeding scales will be displayed. The scales are linked at the I/O terminal jack with an optional cable.

The I/O terminal will also transmit required data to a printer or a display, such as Intercomps S400 ultra bright digital display.

Also available are optional carrying cases that exceed government specifications.
